Meet the Remixers – Patrick HAF

pwacher

Australian DJ/ Producer Patrick HAF (aka The Sentinel/Wilhelm von Erwache/Mr. Microprocessor/Richard N Hoes) has finally come out of hiding to rework Parallax (Patrick ‘arcore As Fuck remix). This is his first production in 7 years and is fitting that it’s for his original musical partner in crime from the Southern Outpost label. It’s a serious sub-bass electro workout that takes a 180 to pay tribute to many nights spent in Sydney warehouses during the early ‘90s. In 1998, Patrick co-founded Australia’s first electro record label, Southern Outpost, distributed via Clone Records, Netherlands and has received critical acclaim from dj’s such as Dave Clarke, Rolando and UR’s “Mad” Mike Banks. Patrick and Sofie co-produced many of Southern Outpost’s innovative releases and released eps from prominent artists such as DJ K1 (Keith Tucker from AUX 88), Shadow People (DJ Nasty), dynArec, Scape One and Dcast Dynamics.

Meet the Remixers – Spikey Tee

spikeytee3

In a world where artists survive 20 seconds, it is a direct link to his talent that this year marks Spikey Tee’s 26th year as an active participant in the culture of music. As a renowned Singer/Artist/producer who shot to fame with the UK rap pioneers, The Sindecut in the late 80’s early 90’s. Touring with Soul ll Soul, later fronting the inventive Jah Wobble with his dulcet singing tones. With all this experience it still hasn’t become just a business for him, it’s life and that’s why he’s still around today, with every one of his musical journeys making a statement and a permanent attachment to the listeners soul.

Spikey Tee has made 2016 a special year for his own productions, with an astonishing 9 releases coming out just this year alone. As well as the remix of Rise Up featuring Shamik by our very own Anomie, he has more dancefloor heat coming out on July 25th 2016 with his track Undercover Badman on the Wicked Jungle label (USA). Releases on Higher Energy (UK) & Totally Dubwise (UK) are also planned for later in the year.  He has also been busy working on Jstar’s forthcoming album and will be performing over Summer in Europe, UK, Dubai and New Zealand.

Where is Spikey Tee now? He’s currently calling Berlin home-base, working on his own productions and touring the world DJing and MCing.

Meet the Remixers: DustyBonezJones

DSC01756
DustyBonezJones was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Southern New Jersey. He first learned about music at home, his father played jazz drums, his mother played the piano and turntable was regularly on. Although he’s been surrounded by music, he didn’t take it up himself until high school. It was the beats, the grooves and the rhythms that caught his attention. Listening to Hip-Hop since he was young he would notice when a song comes on, how people started dancing, singing lyrics and going crazy. When he started making music he knew the next step would be to learn studio production.

Armed with a laptop, Reason and a collection of records, DustyBonezJones’ beats have deep roots that weave through the oeuvre of instrumental hip hop. With multitudes of inspirations and influences, ranging from various artists and producers, ranging from Hip-Hop giants like J Dilla, Madlib, MF Doom and the Alchemist to experimental avant-garde musicians like Bjork, Fifi Rong and Flying Lotus.
